Drove the 64 to work today, and got my favorite parking spot. Had to do a quick "look back".

Got my state inspection done. It's the first year I didn't need an emissions test. 25 years old.

Default Door strap reinforcement kit

Finally installed the door strap reinforcement kit. Just in time too as the passenger side was buckled and starting to crack. No more "clickety clack" when closing the doors. I now finally get the tank-like "thunk" when closing the doors! Also good for another 20hp!!

Congrats! I got my approval right of way too. Still haven't picked up the new plates. Waiting for better weather before I insure.

After work today, I got the tires mounted on my freshly powder-coated wheels.

Picked my plates up right away.

Not sure but I think there is a time limit that you have to pick the plates up by.

I was absolutely amazed at just how fast I got the plates.

Just saw your post Jetta911. Is that the new parking deck in Carrboro? If so, my buddy designed it.

Hoping to get my car running this weekend. Have to reinstall alternator, intake, and plug wires.

Finished this winters work by doing a test start (without DME relay) to check that the new fuelpump and overhauled starter worked, and everything looked fine! Generel service is done and the mod this winter was a brake booster and cylinder from 993. So left to do now is just waiting for April.

I thought about mine. Imagine what it looked like. Out there in the -10 degree hole of a garage. Stuck behind the pile of snow against the door. Waiting for the salt to et washed off the roads...

Can we go back just a few years please, when my replacement cost was 20-25k????? I'd like to go back to thrashing it year round in whatever conditions...

Actually when it warms in a few weeks I have to install my new door and window seals that are sitting there in the box, freezing next to the car...

Fixed my door lock issue last weekend- when I went to lock the car the tumbler pulled out with the key- now it's fixed and good as new! Never pulled a door panel before- pretty simple and fun stuff.

Hope to hardwire my Valentine 1 this weekend and continue to diagnose the cause for my ABS not working properly.

Not surprising considering the rarity and condition of your car.

I broke my hand last weekend like an idiot while drilling out the pressed throughbolt on the rear droplink brackets as I was in the process of installing the monoball links I bought last year through the RL group buy. Now the car is disassembled, on jack stands, and it'll likely be a few weeks till my hand is in any shape to continue.
