Default Factory Cup 1 wheels - are they cast or forged?

There's a set of Cup 1 wheels for sale on ebay which the seller (who might even be here on Rennlist) advertises as "forged."

http://www.ebay.com/itm/251721479257...S:1123&vxp=mtr

"Porsche 911 964 965 Turbo Wheels/Tires 17x7 17x9 Factory Forged Cup 1" starting bid is $3800.00

I always thought these Cup 1 wheels were cast but the seller claims they are forged and that he has a copy of the window sticker of his '91 c4 which was ordered with wheels having the same part numbers - stating forged.

So, what are they: cast or forged?

You can buy them new for less than the opening bid.

Wow and it says they could use refinishing. For a little more, I would get Fuchs.

Between $1300 and $1800 depending on the condition. This seller on eBay isn't getting what he's requesting for them.

The one in your top photo is a replica, not a genuine OEM item, hence the pricing.

Same size as mine, which are usually replicas.
Original 7.5" fronts cost a lot more.

I had genuine 964 turbo ones (7x17 and 9x17) with 965 part number and sold for 800 euros... They were blasted, painted and clear coated professionally to factory silver just before selling them.
I think I let them go a bit cheap but nothing serious. A gent in Germany got himself a perfect set of Cup 1's.
