New to the Forum and 964 C4 purchased
Hi All,
Glad to become a member of the Rennlist forum.
A bit of back ground. My Father has owned a 964 RS for around 7 years. I have been a very fortunate boy, as I have been allowed to track his car since the day he bought it right up until our latest trip with the RS owners club to Spa and Zandfort back in July. Yes I know that I'm the luckiest boy on the planet!
So, basically I love Porsche's and I have a very soft spot for 964's in particular.
Having owed BMW's in various M guises since being 17, I now find myself in Porsche ownership with a lovely 964 C4.
48k on the clock, full suspension refresh back in 2012 (bilsetin B6), full engine rebuild by RSR Engineering earlier this year, and bodywork / interior wise, a very original car is 9/10 condition (some very minor bits needed to make A1).
I have to say that I have been very surprised by it's road manners. Very secure handling, very little understeer, relatively quick for a standard road car, and generally a pleasure to drive. (if anyone has a C2 rear anti-roll bar they wish to part with let me know)
My only plan for the car is to refit the original stereo and it a cup exhaust pipe.
Any suggestions or tips for owning a 964 would be greatly appreciated- basically the do's and don't's!
As Boxsey has mentioned I am attending the Curborough sprint day to help out with some advice (for those that want it) and offering some passenger laps in whatever car I bring along. (most likely my E36 BMW M3 race car).
Here are a couple of pics, firstly the RS (named Rita) and then my car (Penny).
Thanks for reading.

Welcome to 964 ownership! As for tips on ownership? Keep up with the regular maintenance. Any work that is neglected, can get expensive. Also be careful what oil you use. Make sure its high in ZDDP and don't over fill.
Don't hesitate to ask question if you have them.

I bet you had some epic times with Rita. Sounds like you have an awesome dad... and he taught you well!
Your C4 looks great, it's nice to take ownership after all that maintenance has been done.

Welcome to 964 ownership. Two beautiful examples in the family! Love it. I see you're looking for C2 sway bars. I have a set that I took off my car. Only problem is, I'm in the US. LMK if you're interested. But you might be better off finding a set closer to you.

Congrats and welcome...
Do's: drive it as much as you can.
Dont's: drive something else.
Important: as said before maintenance and good oil with correct additive package.
