For a dealer to behave like that and sell it low, that smells to say the least.

If it doesn't feel right, not just a difficult individual, then it's time to look forward.

It's a shame as it looked good.

1st and foremost we are buying these cars with our hearts so if you didn't get the right vibe then no point in following it up.

Is the dealer a Porsche specialist or does he sell anything that comes into his hands?
Also, is he selling on a commission or does he own the car?

Seems like a low price for a car being sold by a dealer and if you have a bad vibe walk away, however, how about getting your Porsche specialist to go take a look at the car for you as if he was looking at it for himself.
It will cost you, but you'll get an independent opinion, maybe the dealer doesn't like you for some reason!

This car is an unusual colour, you say the interim is in resonable condition etc, take that extra step with a relatively small cost before you walk away.

There are very few 964's around at that price!

Good luck!

You've got a good point there Stuart... but the OP needs to be sure his specialist won't grab the car.

I would trust my mech to not do something like that, but it all starts with a good relationship.

If it were me, I'd go a serious length to make sure it's the car I'm walking away from and not the seller.

If there were a dozen cars to choose from, it would be another story... but unfortunately in this case, it's a seller's market.
