Thoughts on this Widebody 94' C4
Hey Guys,
So i don't know much about 964's and am a previous owner of a 993 C4S.
Sold that a few years back to a fellow member on these boards and regret it every day!
Anyhow i'm on the hunt again and fell on this baby right here.
From my understanding Factory Widebody 964's are extremely rare and were only built in C4 form in 1994.
What can you guys tell me about this car.
What's it worth..
Do you all think it's something that's going to gain some value?
Attached are some pics of the actual car.
Car has 63,000 miles.
Thank you all

This is the $65K car listed by a dealer in Vancouver, and it's telling that it hasn't sold since it was listed a month ago. I'm not a fan of the linen interior so that in itself would take it off my short list.
If you're in the market for a $65K air-cooled 911, you have a lot of other options to choose from, including a 993 C4S like one that you owned before. These limited production '94 widebodies will always retain a premium value versus the narrow bodies, but whether that's worth $65K - today - is something the market for the past month has decided against.

Haven't spoken to them yet since i only saw it late last night but was meaning to call them to get some info on the car.
Colour combo is not my favourite either and i wouldn't pay 65k for it.
Wanted to get a feel from them on how much they would budge on price.
As for a 993 C4S i haven't seen one for 65K or less in decent shape with fair mileage..

Nice car and I too am not a fan of the all linen interior but it can easily be toned down. Look at what BHCfarkas did to his, very nice looking IMO and totally reversible.
Regarding pricing (I think they are asking too much), there were a few C4 WBs for sale recently and the asking price was $70-$75K US IIRC. Not sure if they ever sold, or if they got their asking price. You may get a discount but seeing that "regular" C2s sell for $40K or more, it'll be hard to get much off. Besides, they probably know that if the market stays this hot, it will eventually catch up to their asking price and this car will look like a bargain at some point.
If you like this car on paper, find a local member that can take a look at it for you. Then, make them an offer contingent on a PPI and see if they bite, the worst they can say is "no".
Just my $0.02.

Guess I'm the only one here thinking the price isn't too much...
With a hot market and limited examples, what can anybody base the asking price on? Isn't is worth as much as someone is willing to give for it?
Try to find another one in this shape for 57k USD. I think it wouldn't be that easy if the owner knows what he's got and what's going on with the market.
Just my opinion.

Hello from Montreal too, another Porsche fan, we are a few owners on MR forums.
I really dig the linen, but not the blue steering/dash.
I think it is really fairly priced, consider that buying anything close to that price in the states means 6.1% duties, 15% taxes, and about 12-13% exchange rate. That's a 35% increase right here.
If you buy in Vancouver, you pay only 10% tax on the amount you declare (I have declared my 964 for $100)...
at $65k CAD it's a bargain if the car is well sorted.

It's been on craigslist Vancouver for a few months now. Then was posted to autotrader.ca
http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/ctd/4658428632.html
The interior is a turn off but otherwise a great car with pretty low mileage. There aren't that many on the market so the price isn't far off. Love the exterior color and great condition.
It is at a dealer and most dealers will not declare a lower sale price (to reduce the tax you pay). Private sale yes one could get away with declaring a lower sale price.

I'm really all over the place.
993 then 964 then 3.2 Targa.
I really don't know what i want.
I think i've narrowed down the fact that i want a coupe. Then i'm somewhat gravitating towards a 964 since i owned a 993 C4S.
I just can't get my head around the prices... It's become ridiculous.
I'm sure this particular car could have been had for somewhere in the 30's just a couple of years back..

If you can look past this: "car was tapped in rear in 2001 cosmetic only" this red on grey car looks to be a better buy at $51,900 USD.
