Painting valve covers, any advice

The Duplicolor self etching primer that I used did not list a temperature limit, but I bought rustoleum self-etching primer to try and it says not for items that exceed 200F. Wow, that is low! So I'm going to push my luck and try the rustoleum regular engine enamel primer and the engine enamel top coat on my valve covers this time. I have restriped the paint and am ready to go. The engine enamel primer is good for up to 500F which should be fine for valve covers. Plus, this paint doesn't require a baking cycle like the other stuff.

Off-gassed, primed three coats and three top coats all in the same night. Never more that 45 minutes between coats. Looking fab. No need to bake cure either. Here's hoping they will hold up.
