Default Fourth RL owner, new to me 964 C4, re-introduction

My lengthy 964 search turned up a winner, just like everyone I am sure the search turned up some beautiful cars that "got away" and some real clinkers that always looked great in pictures but were dubious at best after the PPI was done. Here is a great car with all of its needs tended to and best of all a mountain drive home from Durango CO to Casper WY. Pictures and details to follow ....

So this great car has been owned by dbibeau, wellcraft290, TYPE911 and now as of 9/20 myself --- pcarhiway. A fourth generation (at least) rennlist 964 going back to 2007.

Here are two previous threads introducing the car;

https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...roduction.html

https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...-and-pics.html

As the car sits now here are the details about how it is currently configured;

Hi Bruce,
Good to hear from you. Here are some details on the car. I don't have recent (as in last month or so) pictures. I will attach what I do have. Also I have included a link from 2nd owner (rennlister) who spent $29,000 on top end, including new pistons and cylinder heads, and everything that was associated with that repair. Rennlist links shows before/after details.
Basically the motor only has 26,000 since all that work. I have receipts, + invoices/records back to 22,000 miles and 2002.
This is a needs nothing car with every tasteful upgrade that can be done to these cars.

1991 C4

74,000 miles
Black/black
9/11/90 prod. date
Needs nothing
all the trick up-grades
H&R Red springs w/ Bilstein HD inserts
Lowered to Euro specs. Aligned & Corner balanced
92- Aero Mirrors.
H4 headlamps w/ 80-100w bulbs
Custom Daniel Stern headlight relay harness, installed by Marco @ TLG (looks factory)
High output reverse light bulbs.
GAIC Chip/Fabspeed cat by pass & center pipe
RS engine mounts
RS single mass lightened flywheel
Spring centered GT3 disc & stock pressure plate.
Larger rear sway bar
Perfect Power (Ruf replica) under the carpet strut brace.
Cup 1 wheels, 7.0 front / 9.5 rear (were on Jeff Zwart's Pikes peak car, and extremely rare)
RS center caps
Newer Bridgestone RE-11 tires (approx. 5000 miles)
RS rear bumper painted & installed by John Esposito June 2013
Re-painted front hood and bumper at same time due to rock chips.
new clear corners lenses (not shown in pics)
Plush carpeted black Loyd mats w/ Porsche script
Interior is perfect, seats a 9 on a 10 scale, carpet a 9, dash & gauges a 10, headliner & panels a 10
Newer spoiler skirt/curtain
New oil pressure sending unit. (old one would make gauge bounce, then finally quit) OK now.
Engine is bone dry, not even a seap, or any oily residue.
Valve adj / plugs, caps and rotors 700 miles ago
Impeccable maintenance and records binder. Car has the best of the best
Complete top-end and more at 38,000 miles (have receipts and pictorial essay)
Perfect in every way, quite possibly the nicest C4 in existence
All glass perfect. One small knick on 18 month old windshield w/ new seal
New kenwood ipod compatible stereo head unit (replaced old kenwood, last month) Sounds great
4th? owner. I bought car in July 2011 from Rennlister, who also bought car from Rennlist guy.
Everything works and car looks showroom new.
Includes original date coded D90 rims & snow tires.
Very strong running
Probably about 285 hp with chip & exhaust mods.

Congratulations on the new acquisition.

The stance of those fat rear wheels in your photos is enviable. Love that look.

Default Great car...

and a better story. I lived in Cortez for four years and made the drive to Wyoming several times. Wonderful drive and it looks like you had perfect weather to boot.

Congratulations! Will you be keeping it as is or do you have any planned mods?

No disrespect, but it's got all the correct mods worth doing. I'm sure Bruce will chime in.

That's a decision for the current owner to make.
