My fabricator said he is in the process of building a house. So, he won't be able to make a run until winter time.
So, i took my prototype brushed billet aluminum **** and dropped it off to be hard anodized. Told them i wanted it as black as they could get it. Should get here tomorrow.
I may pick up a Corian **** from Elihu, as well. Those look pretty cool. I wish he could put in a better shift insert. He just uses a sticker on top. Maybe i will find a more substantial insert and see if he can build it in.

I'm sure he could ... the guy is a wizard ... look at the inlays in guitars for inspiration

I'm hoping to get the delrian/plastic coating that prevents temp/hand problems of the billet piece I have

takamine inlays

Looks good. I have a couple gaitors i am working on. Looks pretty good if you cut off the ball and fold it under. Then zip tie it so it held in place around the shaft.
I still am brainstorming how to incorporate a rubber boot, ala Singer. I just think it looks cool. Anyone know somebody that could fabrictae us a plastic cup?

Neffets, you made my day! I hope you can help us make a cup. Maybe we could then just get another boot and place it on top of original one. The original one sits too low.
