Thanks!!! No link. My buddy who did the work fabricated the piece out of aluminum, and then used rivets to mount on rear bumper. He may be able to make more. I can ask if you would like.

Been thinking about a solution for a little while now. If I may ask a favour, would you mind posting a close up shot of the surround?

What a fantastic spec. sheet. A simple, clean and very focused build. These cars are so awesome.
Is the interior just a notch louder, or a lot louder after the interior strip?

AND you have a MKII GT3 coming! Much respect.

I've always loved the 964 and have had several during my lifetime. Truly wish I could go back in time and kept every single one of the beauties that I sold: two RSAs, a Turbo 3.6, and a Euro Cup Car. Ugh......

Fast forward to last Fall and I decided to resume the love affair I've had with these cars. As luck would have it, a fellow RL tipped me off about a car that was just posted on the PCA mart. Not only was the car local, I knew the current owner and how meticulous he was with this car. We hooked up later in the day and after a quick test drive, we agreed upon a deal.

Drove it several hundred miles before preparing it for Winter storage. I then made the "mistake" of showing it to a good friend of mine who happens to own a high end auto and motorcycle restoration shop. He loved the car, but the wear, tear, and paint fade of a heavily used track car reared it's ugly head under his super bright fluorescent lighting. Mechanically the car was super strong. Cosmetically the car needed a makeover as the guards red paint was in different stages of fade, while the tan interior was very tired.

I decided that this was the perfect car to drive and enjoy while not worrying about putting the miles on it. Just drive it!!! So, it was at this point that we decided to repaint the car in guards red, change the interior over to black, and turn it into an "RS Lite" type of hot rod. This was the perfect Winter project for both of us, as it was in no rush to get it back until the snow was gone.

After approximately 4 months of a ""spa treatment", I finally took delivery in April, and have been enjoying every minute of my drive time with the car. It's noticeably lighter and handles like a go cart. The engine pulls like a champ, and makes the most amazing German symphony ever!!! The details of the build are below. Huge huge thanks to Pete Knight of Knight Time Auto Body/Erod Tech Rides in Argyle, NY, for building me my version of the ultimate 964 hot rod !!!
