Take them out and dry them otherwise it will take months as they hold a lot of water. Lots of places can get water to there, door seals, door membranes, sunroof drain tubes, front screen seal, front bonnet seal...etc etc. maybe give it a soak while u sit inside and look for the first signs of a dribble.

Floormats and carpets totally dry. But both sides and damp under the soundproofing. Much more so on passenger side. So must be coming from underneath or dripping from the front somewhere.

Check your door seals. My driver side seal is torn toward the bottom from kicking off snow in the winter and so water gets in when it's really wet. There are also a host of runner drain hole plugs that are supposed to channel water away and sometimes those face the wrong way or are gone and so water can get in...

Next time you have it on jack stands have a good look around...

Lots of places to look, windshield seal, A/C condensate drain, sunroof drain tubes and the front cowl seal...

If you had a hard rain or even a car wash lately as was said water hangs around in those mats for a long long time...

As people say it's very common. This thread is worth a read https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...s-are-wet.html

Oooooo carwash bad...

I only use waterless carwash now. I learned my lesson after they power blasted my hood emblem off the car...lol...not to mention the blowers tend to blow water into areas that would otherwise never get wet...

It's just weird that the foam is wet... Carpets totally dry as far as i can tell.
Makes me think it has to be coming from the front somewhere and getting under there.

I'd say check sunroof drain rails that which you can see once you open up the engine bay. And the AC drain which is by the fuel pimp cover.

I finally tracked down a leak that was caused by the washer nozzles. The seals under the nozzles were no longer sealing because of paint contamination when the scuttle was painted. Check by pouring water over the nozzles to see if they leak.

That's a good one, I'd never considered it, I'll give that a go on mine when it's back.

It took me ages to find it. I'd suspected the windscreen seal and fresh air intake and then by accident poured some water directly on the driver side nozzle and sure enough....drip, drip, drip just in front of the pedals. I've fixed it temporarily by smearing some silicone grease on the seal. I'm going to try cleaning up the seal at some point. If that doesn't work I'll have to buy a new nozzle as the seal is not available separately!

Thanks for all the problem areas to check guys.

. I would say mine is 90% passenger side,10% driver side. Rear seats are totally dry.

Are you guys getting more on one side or the other?
