Post WTB 964 Coupe

Hi Everyone, I'm a long time lurker and first time poster on this forum. Like many other prospective buyers, after months of reading through the tech and classifieds sections, I'm ready to pull the trigger on purchasing a dream car for my father and I. However, I've found myself constantly losing quick sales on attractively priced cars to others who seem to flip them at a healthy margin.

I'm looking to purchase a 90-94 964, preferably Coupe, any color combo is fine (but bonus points for white exterior). (disclaimer: I'm also looking for 993s, but have posted a WTB thread in the 993 subforum).

If you're looking to sell your car, please let me know. Both my dad and I look forward to joining the Porsche community and getting bitten by the Porsche bug

I'm located in Central Jersey, but willing to make a long distance purchase if the car's right. I have cash in hand and am an extremely fair buyer.

Thanks so much and look forward to hearing from you.

Sorry if I've offended anyone by posting a WTB thread as a basic user - I wasn't aware of this rule. I planned on buying a membership to the forum once I make a purchase.

Anyways, here are some more details that may be of help:
Coupe, preferably white exterior (but any color is fine), any color interior (the more unique the better). I'm flexible as to whether the car is a C2 or C4, and am flexible about the factory options. I prefer a stock car, but will entertain cars with light mods. Budget is fairly open, but I'd obviously like to keep it within reason. Thanks again.

so now that you know the rules, you choose to ignore them and post more requirements? That is offensive.

Laker, please give the guy a break, he seems like a goods addition to the fold. I feel we should be welcoming perspective new members with open arms, and cut them a little slack. Lots of posters on this forum, who haven't paid their membership yet.

Steen, what's the value in membership if anyone can post FS/WTB? and don't say OT:P&C ;-)
Posting, asking questions, posting pictures is great, but there is a fine line with FS/WTB which provides a sense of value to members.

As long as this thread has changed subject, can someone point me in the right direction? I went online and submitted payment for registration via paypal over a week ago. I have not heard anything since and have no confirmation of payment or registration. Does anyone know if it takes awhile or should I attempt it again?

I'm with laker...

I think maybe the second post was a little harsh, but generally speaking I think everyone that uses the list should be a paying member. End of story. For those of us here all the time, add up how much money was saved this year alone...this list and this group of members is invaluable...

That said and as long as we have gone into thread hijack mode...here's a question for a principle, moderator or other in the know type. I bought my membership ages ago when I used a computer. Now 100% of my rennlist use is on an iPhone on the app. How do I see if my membership is active and up to date and how to renew via the app? Is it even possible?

I ask since of this is the case, that I can't see or update my membership through the app, then all app users will have the same issue and they subsequently will break the rules per above inadvertently...or maybe I'm an idiot and it's right in front of my face...

I didn't mean to sound harsh but you ask someone to please (yes I did say please and thanks) play by the rules, and they say whoops, sorry my bad and then continue to break the same exact rule in the same post, yes I was a little offended. If it was me back in 2010, I would have either signed up on the spot or stopped.

I got called out and paid. I think if he buys a car he would def pay. Was pretty funny he had the ***** to get called out and then define his criteria. Ha. Not sure I would want to pay if I didn't even own a Porsche. Just my 2 cents.
