Or new replacement. About six years ago, I purchased a full set of calipers for my 951 from Sunset Porsche. They were the new style, smooth finish with stenciled Porsche script.

1990 C2 original Raised lettering and ridges on front.
Raised lettering no ridges on rear. Apologies for the poor quality images

Shouldn't the SS plates be... SS steel ,to allow proper clearance for the pads and the correct suface for pad movement?

You lost me, are we talking about brake refinishing or braking components?

He's talking about the red pair you posted, you sprayed the SS spring plates red. Depending on thickness, this could cause binding of the brake pads.

These what I've just had refurbished.
As far as I know the are C4's.
I using them to replace the std C2 Caliper's.

That appears to be what I need. Same as pictured by STUARTQ just in black.
