Love what he's done so far to the car. Those Cup 1's are perfection. Really would love a set soon...or speedlines! (decisions, decisions!)
I just saw the two episodes of Drive on NBCSN, have to say...just brilliant work. I will have to get the subscription on YouTube as well, definitely worth it for the amount of work and time they put into it!

What they are showing on NBC is older content recycled from the YouTube channel. The only show that was entirely new content was the Pilot episode shot in Monaco.

still, $5 per month, for a single youtube channel, is ridiculous
I will download from torrents, sorry NBC but this is too expesive for 1 or 2, 15 minutes videos per month.
More expensive than a 2h long film with millons of dollars of production cost and hundred of cast/crew working on them.
More expensive than Netflix when you consider that for $8 pe rmonth you have 24/24 content and loads of choice.

I agree that 5$ per month is a lot when compared to an operation like netflix. I subscribed because I want to see channels like drive survive, and hopefully thrive. Drive does not have the subscription base that netflix has, and it never will. Larrys videos gave me the confidence to do paint restoration on my own car. That alone is worth the five bucks a month.

I understand the reasons for going to a pay-per-view business model but I think they've lost or will lose a lot of viewership at the enthusiast level.
I will gladly pay for a membership to sites like Rennlist because I see the value in the DIY maintenance tips and mods and leads on items for sale. I personally don't see the value in paying for car reviews on vehicles I will never be able to afford.

Comparing it to Netflix and length of show times is a bit obtuse if you ask me. But everything on the net should be free...full derp.

Seeing their numbers (in the PH post) of subscribers and the views, they could've charged $1 per month and made money with a much higher paying subscriber base.
Anyway, Larry's car is superb, to stay on the subject.
