my mechanic just completed 100k mile service. in the process of doing so, he overfilled the engine with oil. he immediately removed what he thought was the excess. after driving car for the 1st time after the service i noticed an erratic idle. intermittently the engine would shut off. i checked the oil and it is still a 1/2 inch above the top notch. other than removing more oil, what else needs to be done?
