Hi Perrew
Last time the car was on the scales it weighed in at 1070! I found once the car became lighter and therefore better overall performance the ABS was close to useless as programmed, and like you wanted to lose it but had concerns especially in the wet! But it has been one of the best upgrades I have done, the increased feel and modulation you have on the brakes is fantastic, and first time out in the wet at a Hillclimb event islet 2nd fastest time of the day!!
It's been the same story with the power steering the downsides, I.e. parking do not outway the upsides, better feel and feedback.
Cheers

evanscott: About that ABS-box.
1 Can you just replace the stock box. Is the big plug/cable the same?
2 Do you have a part number?
3 Where do you find one? Ebay?

Hi Thomas
Sorry I removed the ABS system completely and fitted a Tilton pedal assembly. I had considered using a BM M3 race system as they're readily available but as I said the braking feels fantastic both dry or wet.
Simon.

yes, that't my car! But the avatar is a bit old now. Here are two more recent pics. One from the Ring and then the b/w pic from the Terlamenbocht chicane at Zolder. The car is built as a "Cup tribute" car and more or less everything is modified in some way.

Thanks!
Not much actually. I don't want plastic parts because I like the solid factory metal feeling of the Cup and RSR cars. The car is 1180 dry know, and that's good enough.
Engine will need a rebuild in the future and at that point it is a question of money, just a simple rebuild or something fun like 993 valves etc. But now it takes no oil, gives 290 hk so it's no rush. Same thing with the gearbox. Runs great, but when the time comes I'd really like shorter gears and not just a 8:32 final. The 3rd gear is so alone and it will still be with a 8:32. But gear sets are expensive so the same thing here, we'll see..

Thats a really good number with steels. What have you done in terms of heat/ventilation?
Engine seems like endless stuff to choose from, different valves, lifters etc thats seems to make some difference as well, not just 3.8l upgrade. Lots of people seem to move to a 6spd but I like to keep mine 5spd for now. Have you seen the PatWilliamsRacing 993GT2 with 4spd:-)

Still have heating and fans but no A/C. The fans are good for hot days and the heating for cold and damp trackdays in april and september, and also when it rains.

Hi Thomas
Pictures look awesome matey love the B&W at Zolder!! Gearing is a massive improvement and worth the investment.
Hi Perrew
Here's a picture of the air box I've mocked up and used!
The return edge is where the rubber boot attaches from the fresh air vent in the scuttle, other is feed to screen and dash vents.
