@ThomasC2 its the guys at SMR that does the wrenching on it.
Im not familiar with MTech, but your car was an inspiration for my build very early on!

@HiWind as in life there are compromises and I wanted the kids to be able to enjoy the car so the cage is out at the moment. If I Go all race car which the guys at the shop vote for I will do a cage with connection to suspensions etc...
Im aiming for 1000kg so well see how close to 7Cups I can get.

@orp73 tks a lot!

@Black-Betty tks! yeah almost all business, well see if theres mission creep:-)

@Deutschland-Dobson tks yeah I really like the rain gutter delete , wanted to do that since I got the car.

Here is an interreting pic of the old 964 upright vs. the 993GT2Evo upright. Weight diff of 3kg results in a total of 6kg lower unsprung weight loss.

That's actually a 993RS part, the GT2 did use it as well as did the 993RSR and 993Cup, you need to use the matching 993RS outer tie rods w/ them as well, even better is to use the 993RSR/GT2 monoball inner tie rods w/ them.

If I recall correctly the 993RS Tie Rods had some rubber in them?

Damn son... That is some seriously awesome goodies on that ride. Whose frames did you use for the flush mount windows? I'm thinking about going with Getty.

A very thin layer of rubber. It doesn't matter. And you can't buy the GT2 rods anymore. I did this upgrade to this winter. But since I have a narrow body I had to replace the beams/carriers holding the control arms. Otherwise I couldn't get more than -1,3 front camber. But really happy with this upgrade after some trackdays this year.

Isn't it s bit overkill with the tie rods you have? Or will you run the car super low?

I love that. Not that's starting the next generation off on the right foot!

I'm sure you'll be close... no question you'll definitely be having more fun!

I love that detail too. It really cleans up the rear 3/4 view.

Hey, love this car!!!

What benefit do the 993RS uprights bring to the table aside from the lower weight? and any rough idea on what the cost is with the associated hardware to mount them on a 964?
Is it just the 993RS outer tie rods that need to be used?
