Default Need info WTB nicer 964 exhaust, lowering springs

I have a 93 964 Cab Wimbledon green/ Tan

I love driving it but I want an Exhaust sound that is more like the Fister 2
on the 993 and doesn't cost an Arm and a leg so,

1. Best solution for the Money ? Pipe etc ?

Any good used ones anyone has ?

2. Which lowering Springs are affordable ?

Does anyone have a set used they are selling

Thanks this is a great place

I have 2 sets of lower springs - one set is car graphic and one set is eibach. Both will work with stock shocks. Would like $200 for Car Graphic and $175 for Eibachs.
Both drop car 1 - 1.5 inch depending on setting.

I would go with the Cup Pipe its a nice sound, very flat6 and not too loud.

I just fitted a De cat pipe and a G pipe. Sounds great! Not heard a cup piped car yet though. My guess is both will sound so much better than standard.
I also did the air box mod for some enhanced induction noise too.

Biggest bang for the buck is the G pipe to get rid of the 2ndary muffler. One step beyond that, do a cat bypass if your state allows it (we have no emissions testing/inspection here in Kansas) You arent't going to get that fister D sound like a 993 without doing something drastic, but the 964 sounds great with a few simple exhaust changes.

They do both sound better than stock. G-pipe is louder and sounds more muscle car like than the Cup-Pipe. I have had both on my 964 and the Cup will be closer to the Fister2 sound in on a 993.

I have had a chance to drive my car now with the de cat and 'G' pipe fitted. TBH I am finding it a bit to loud and not very 'flat six'.

If I ran with the de cat, Cup pipe, and refitted my secondary silencer would it be quieter and sound a bit nicer?

Running a de-cat and a cup pipe with secondary silencer isnt that much quieter, possibly a little. It changes the exhaust note from a growly bassey noise to a higher pitched, more metallic sound. Its obviously rather tricky to explain, but you might prefer it. My preference is the G pipe and de-cat as i find the lower freq sound more pleasant on longer journeys.

One other thing to consider is to drill a few large holes in the airbox cover, it increases the induction noise and sounds pretty good (to me).

After listening to the Fister Stage 2 on youtube, I think it's most similar to the secondary bypass pipe, aka G-pipe.

Good luck!

Do the primary by-pass with a cat by-pass -
I have a complete set of Koni shocks and springs that will allow you to drop your car to whatever height you want - within reason - The current springs are a little on stiff side for street use but the shocks are 2 way adjustable that you could get softer springs for. $600 for the all 4 shocks less current springs .
