Is your wife part owner of the car? If she isn't she should mellow and sit down in the boat and enjoy.

Wait until you hit your 50's and your wife's friends are all divorced from their skirt chasing husbands, then the car obsession is seen as a positive

Women will test you and test you and test you to see if they can knock you off center and once you do, they lose respect for you. Read David Deida's The Way Of The Superior Man.

Do not give in! Men need their one thing, their one project, their man-cave, whatever! Women need to respect that.

Men unite!

...just sayin'...

Sell the wife, keep the car, use proceeds to finish ideas on car.

What's the actual reasoning she has to make you sell the car?

Easier to find a new wife than a cherry 964 these days. Prolly cost about the same too

Unless she has a legit reason, make her sell something she loves too.

Sorry for my chest beater above...

Maybe there's a good reason that we're not privy to.

Tough spot to be in, dude.

+1

I never consult with, seek permission from or in any seek advise from my wife with respect to my car purchases.

She respects that it is NONE of her business. I give her a great allowance that she is able to spend as she wishes.

I think this is one of the main reasons we have a great marriage.

If you have financial pressures that is driving you to sell your 964 make that decision yourself. Don't let the wife pressure you into it.

I tell every woman I have been with, including a family member above me who like to have a say in financial matters, "You will pry the 911's from my cold dead hands." I don't give a Fu(K. I will be homeless before I sell my 964. I will literally fight about this. I make my lady drive mine to the supermarket/liquor store once a week to try to develop an understanding and appreciation of the car. She just says she likes her manual 2010 A4 and doesn't really care.
