Race Car
this guy Guido is a hill climb GT3 RS nutter/racer and coach who organised my Mugello sortie.
The track days were Eur70 (the parking fines were higher in town where parking allowances change at 12 or 2pm or something!)
He might even help you out with the best roads in the area - although pretty much all of them were incredible
When you see the sign "Claxon" it means the road is blind curving and going single lane
so keep going at full tilt ... just hoot as you go around lol

I've been looking at the route Henrik has suggested and at what hotels are available in the £60 - £120 per night bracket on www.booking.com.
We will need to make some decisions quickly as its getting hard to find Hotels in the various area's that have enough rooms.
I'd like opinions on hotel costs, before I go and make bookings. At the moment there are approx. 8 of us, so we will need 8 rooms unless everyone wants to share.

Besides the savings are good.
Lead the way I'm sure we're all comfortable with you making decisions considering you're the kind gent with the local know how...

If that is the white car on Facebook I'm afraid you won't be welcome; you would show us all up and draw unwanted crowds.

Depending on work and obtaining the relevant permits and licenses from the management, I'm a definite maybe!
In all seriousness, given I missed Classic Le Mans and Spa 6 Hour may not be on this year, I might be able to swing this...

Hi Fella's,
So yes all going ahead, just a delay in the planning.
As I see it, the Tour starts from Thonon Les Bains or Evian on the French side of Lake Geneva (Leman) on Friday 12th early afternoon and will be 3 to 4 days.
Mugello, is a long drive away, the cost of the track day is around £500.00 and not everyone is keen to do it, so we will organise another event next year that will include, Imola, part of the Mille Miglia run and the hills around Maranello, hopefully with some help from Capt'n Ahab.
Henrik is plotting the route out, I tried to, but it's not so easy when you don't know the area so well.
Once that's done, it will be easy to find hotels.
We reckon that a different hotel every night, is not such a good idea, so if possible we try and find a central location.
Hotel costs are looking to be around the €60 - €100 euros p/night.
For those coming from the UK, you can either make your own way to Thonon, or as a group.
If it's done as a group, I'd suggest a mid afternoon Euro tunnel and a stop over in Troyes which is approx. 4hrs from Calais. (Campagnile Troyes Sud €60)
An early start from there through the Jura mountains to Thonon is approx. 5 hrs and in time for us all to meet up for lunch and then an afternoon drive to Annecy!
We hope to post up a map by the weekend which will give you a better idea of what we are planning.
964TT, Henrik and one or two other guys are driving down from Holland, through Belgium, so you can join them if you want to for the journey down to Thonon.
Nick, it would be great to see your car, could shame some of us, Me for sure!
Stan, it would be great have you there.
Mike, any further thoughts from you?
Hope to post more info in the next few days.
