I hate these type of questions. I like silver....my wife likes pink. I think you should probably use what ever colour you prefer unless you are trying to please someone other than yourself.

I've got a set of full anthracite Cup 1s on my black RS right now, and to be honest I don't really like them. Previously I had black centres with a diamond cut rim, which I thought looked great. I like to have some contrast between the wheel centre and the tyre to break it up, otherwise you just have a big dark blob on each corner against black bodywork.
So just to be controversial I would suggest the centres in body-colour with a diamond cut rim, which I think would look really sharp.
Otherwise solid factory silver.......

Thanks all, very much appreciated. It is of course always personal choice (and colour much more subjective than engineering led questions perhaps) but I like getting the opinions of others and enjoy the forum, a few times I've gone in a different direction from comments made here and never regretted it. I do agree with both the rim comment and the dark blob one - hence I think factory silver it will be - which also feeds my natural inclination to keep close to OEM. Some wonderful Bilstein B16s being fitted this week along with the wheels...
Cheers.

Definitely factor silver for me. I like the wheel colour to contrast from black tires. It also draws attention to and highlights the cup 1's which are a great looking wheel.

Here is a clip showing the Wurth spray cans as a good match for factory finish.

I talked to a local powder coating company about doing my new Cup-1s and he couldn't guarantee their silver powder would match the factory finish. A pint of the correct wet paint would do fine.
