Default Quiet tires?

Looking for the quietest, most comfortable tires for my DD 964. I have a set of Kuhmo? tires on there now, but they are kinda noisy. Street use only, no track.

I do have 17" wheels,Eiboch springs,Bilstein shocks.It has been lowered,too by the previous owner.

I use Michelin pilot sport. Quiet and a lot of grip. Not the best rain tire, but great in the dry and adequate in wet.

i just picked up a set. three were defective. leaked air so severely that they lost 20psi in under 24hrs. figured this out on a sunday so i ended up dismounting the tire, and then sanding down what i can only describe as a flaw in their molds.. tons of extra rubber along the bead. 3 hours of sanding later, they held air. no issues since.

next time, michelins.

i really like yokohoma a408 and toyo r1r, but i wouldnt call either "quiet"

Default Michelin Super Sport

Driven on mine for three years... quiet, grip, and great wear rating for a daily driver.

Just put a set of the Extreme DW on my S8. Very happy with them for that application. I would probably consider them for the 964 under the right circumstances, but theres something about Michelins on a 911!

Have the Conti Extreme DWs on my car; smooth, quiet and crazy sticky in wet and dry. Had Michelins, way too much money for a lesser tire and the rears only lasted 8,000 miles.

+964 on the Conti Extreme Contact DW, very quiet, good grip and long lasting, in top of being easy on your wallet.

The best summer tire (that isn't an autocross tire) imo.

The Conti's are at the shallow end of the grip pool.

"The Conti's are at the shallow end of the grip pool."
Not so !
They have great grip for those that drive on roads and not the track. Quiet, long lasting and a great value.
Besides, who wants French tires when you can have quality German tires ?
;^)
