Default Air Bag Light - Thank You Rennlist

Airbag & Seatbelt light came on this weekend. Ran my Durametric scantool and had two Fault Codes, one was 29 Ignition Circuit Driver. I reset and it came back next day.

Did some searching here and found comments about Clock circuit board. Followed link to guide here.http://p-car.com/diy/clockrepair/

Soldered all joints, tested bulbs and cleaned it up. Installed it and everything appears to be working. Airbag light went off, stayed off and so far so good.

If it stays off this week, it is a big win!

Thank you past and present Rennlisters for sharing and David Ream for nice write up on the procedure.

I'm assuming you cleared the faults after the circuit board repair?

Yes. I have the Durametric scantool. I cleared it and it was clear for about 24 hours. And now back.

What was your other code? I've heard that sometimes there's a problem with the seat-belt connection (where the seat belt snaps into) that will set a light.

Actual Durametric Faults: I love the "176 Unknown" ......
Airbag B01 Module Identification
Block 0 (ECU Type) B00AIRBAG Block 1 (Porsche Part Number) CA00896986

Current Fault Codes
29 Ignition circuit - side airbag, driver
176 Unkown fault code, please tell us about this missing information by clicking link

I plan to disconnect battery and clean the crash sensor plugs next. Clear codes and go from there. ??

Hi RayB, Any solution for this yet. I've got the same codes and have tried the clock fix as well with no luck. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I cleaned and checked the connections for the seat belt switch and also cleaned connections for the airbag impact sensors, then reset the fault codes with the Durametrics. After a few start/stops and about 45 minutes of driving, the lights are still out. I won't hold my breath yet, but off to a good start anyway...

Sorry, I've been offline for a bit. I didn't do the seatbelt, but lights are still off from cleaning the crash sensors. Meant to post pics as week. I think I will do it this weekend.
