Aloha,

I have a question regarding an stupid oil leak. The engine will be rebuilt in the winter, but want to know what the cause is.

I cleaned the engine with a high pressure cleaner to see where its coming from, but I still cant tell

Anyhow. It only leaks about the first 10 minutes after letting it sit. 5-6 drops of clean oil. After that there are no further drops coming out, both on the left and right of the engine, or thats what it looks like.

It doesnt look like its coming from the center, but maybe the valve covers? I am not quite certain.

Now I drove it for about 15 minutes, and the oil cooler didn't switch on and I dont have any oil drops??!

I am short on time so would like to get the right parts right away!

You need to see where the oil is coming from, or it's just guessing?

I am guessing. There is some clean oil all over cylinders and dropping onto the exhaust, so I cant tell the exact source of it.

Do you let the engine idle for 30-45 seconds prior to shutting it down?
