I like them. But I'm worried that they are going to lose some of their MOJO on the higher ET 964 and 993 versions.

What other high quality 3 piece forged wheel are you seeing for much less than $1k per wheel?

Hre, BBS, Forgeline, fikse, etc... All at least $1k per wheel. And most are MUCH higher.

The prob w a brand like what Magnus walker has created for himself is that the expectations on the part of those that have helped hype and create the Magnus madness makes it almost impossible for him to design a "Magnus" label product. The public would want it to be as awesome, timeless, perfect, cool, as everything they have come to expect from the cars and hype surrounding them.

So now we have a wheel. One of a zillion wheels out on the market. And this one conveniently borrows cues from Fuchs wheels typically seen on classic 911's. My guess is that if they are priced high enough, and therefore stay rare enough, they will be sought after and very cool. But if they became ubiquitous, the Magnus brand would suffer.

I like them. But I like them because I saw them on a car that looked good with them. They are wheels. Lots of wheels look good. But wheels don't hang on walls. Hats off to Magnus for one good wheel design. I would like to see a line of wheels. And more. And i would like to see them disappear and be replaced with a new design. Stay current, new, and not ubiquitous.

I'm not sure about them

For me his design with exposed bolts doesn't look right on an earlier 911, maybe they would look more in keeping if they used hidden bolts

For a 964 or 993 I think some of the impact of the petal design will be lost without the deeper rim and the style looks a bit fussy for this period of car

Good luck to him though as he seems to have quite a following

If theyre anything like the rest of the Forged 2pc Fifteen52 lineup, the ones made for the early 911's are welded 2pc forged design with no "hardware". They will have some standard offsets and widths but Fifteen52 is known for building custom fitment sets so these will probably be avail in "to order" specs as well. My buddy just "built" a set of Fifteen52 Formula Classics for his 964. I'll attach a pic... no stanced, stretched, tuck here. Built for driving...

The 3pc offerings are probably really just for the specialty builds and ppl like me who want custom width/offset 18" and like the exposed hardware look on my 993. I bet the RauhWelt guys will have a set in some obscene width and offset on their next build... theyre just screaming for it. Hell, maybe they'll make them as large as 19" and 20" to appeal to the new 911/Panamera/Macan fitments as well as the numerous VW/Audi owners that are going to love them. This is the 1st modern take on a Fuchs 5 that I really like. These wheels were designed to be focused on the early 911 fitments and so the colors and sizes are going to be fairly limited I think. I would live to see a Singer build on these wheels. It's not just a Fuchs on steroids. Its a lighter wheel with parameters and form like the Fuchs 5 but with a modern hollow kinda twist. I'm into it

Ed's 964 on Fifteen52 Formula Classics - 18x8/9.5, custom offsets.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's a Fuchs 5? Is that what the kids call a Fuchs nowadays??

- and why would one think these are lighter? They look the opposite, actually. I'd be interested to see some data on that.

Agree with keith,

Maintaining like for like size, stiffness and strength it is impossible to make a 2 or 3 piece aluminium wheel lighter than a Fuchs forged wheel
