Nice one Jev.

The bore of the TT heat exchangers looks quite a bit smaller than the n/a ones, have you measured them?

I'm impressed your new love of detailing even includes the exhaust. Engine is all looking bloody good mate.

Didnt check sizes, assume tt is smaller for more velocity.

Easy on the detailing quibs, dishwasher did a great job of the headers

Dunno mate I havent spoken to them since I went to see their engine sat on the workshop floor, I might try to get over soon and will let you know if they have made any progress.

I doubt they will look like that for long considering they will be glowing cherry red in no time at all

Me too mate, its gona be mental and probably lead to some expensive wider wings and wheels!

Yup standard refurb with new bearing housings, seem to be in decent shape but only time will tell if they were a good buy or not.

Ha - I kept the original ones for the fandango rebuild for V2

A bit more cleaning of bits last night - that really is a thankless task!

Bit more time today to have a play and a think...

Tried the intercooler in the track IB which has a ducktail:

Seems to fit just fine without the big tray that is fitted to it in a 993.

A snap from the side makes it look like it will fit with the duck if I hack a few chunks out of it (the duck not the IC):

So with a bit of work I think the duck is a go-er. Here the IC is roughly placed in the spare duck I have:

Think its a case of fit the engine, mark where the duck needs a trim then try to make up a nice seal of some sort to make sure as much air as possible is getting drawn in through the IC.

Slow progress but it never was going to be a quick project!

Is it possible to use a different method of cooling and keep the original boot lid?
