This C2 is listed as "super fast" automatic $26K

Just looks super rough to me, you can see the lights in the rear don't line up properly

This may have already been posted, but here is a supercharged (non-intercooled) '89 C4 coupe that recently ended at $19,400 with reserve not met on ebay:

Hmmm...that looks familiar...I think I saw that ad posted before but not with a reserve price. The one I saw had a 40k+ price tag if i recall correctly. Either way not a bad looking car.

I actually test drove that one, he said he wouldn't go lower than 28.5 on the car. Mechanically it was sound. The body on the other hand was in terrible shape. It needs a full respray. It looked like every panel had been painted at a different time, so there was a lot of paint flaking off. Bad orange peel in areas. Rust around the windshield, I could go on, but you get the picture. It would make for a good track car though.

Had to ask since you saw and drove in person. Any issues with the engine? i.e. oil leaks, etc. Full service records? Was the rust issue the only reason you stepped away? It is a great track car indeed. Would prefer a non-Forced induction C2 myself but this car has piqued my interest.

The car ran great, no leaks, he had a big stack of maintenance receipts for the car. The rust issue was a concern, but the paint looked terrible everywhere. The paint was buffed off in some areas on the front fenders, it looked like the bottom of the driver's door was painted in a garage, there was some bondo flaking off on the rear fender. Like I said, it would really need a full respray to be presentable or leave it and it would be a great track car.

Thanks for the input! As I am looking for something to whip around the track it looks like a viable option. However, I'm a stickler for aesthetics so the rust issue may have to be sorted. I'll definitely have to mull this over before reaching out to the seller. Thank you again.

Do some research about the TPC supercharger kit on this forum and the 993 forum if you're looking for a track car. Many have had cooling issues when using the intercooled version on the track, so I'm thinking non-intercooled would be a no-go for track use. Good luck!

Thanks Kyle! I'll be sure to do just that. I'm such a bonehead it totally slipped past me that there wasn't an intercooler. I still have so much to learn

BTW - I noticed you're a fellow Houstonian as well

A guy I was thinking about buying a top from is asking 24k for a white coupe with 124k miles. Has some cosmetic issues. Seems about market, but if anyone's interested, I can pass along his info. Can attest he's a good guy with a lot of Porsche knowledge.

I doubt a restored 89 will bring $65k even if mileage is reasonable. The least they could have done is paint the fan the correct color.
