Not so sure there are $500 worth of salvageable parts on it. look at the bondo flaking off the doors. Not sure what flairs those are and the rest is a mess. No doubt the underside is worse. It would be best to keep searching for something that doesn't need so much TLC.

Maybe they're not using 9-12 month old valuations. Maybe they're interested in actually selling the car instead of sitting around bumping their thread periodically in perpetual denial that their driver quality C4 will never sell for $4x,000 (hypothetical example).

Agreed. Lots of cars are sitting in the 50-60k range these days.

They discuss minor accident to drivers side yet when you look at the passenger door side you will see it has clearly been repainted. The seam line is filled with paint. I also find it odd that the option sticker under the front lid is covered in what appears to be black mold yet the rest of under the hood is nice and clean. I did not check the vin number but all of the 93's I have seen have crinkled paint under the hood it wasn't until 94 they switched to the crinkle free paint. There is something odd about the underside of the hood. It looks as though the seams are irregular going up both sides and the car is missing the seals along the rockers, the smile is crooked the compressor is incorrect and I am sure I could find more if I spent the time or saw it in person.
Over the past few years I have watched as dozens of air cooled 911's have been purchased and had complete resprays to make them sell. Most are not well done and very few disclosed. At the right price it makes for a nice driver but clearly the car has more history than what is being divulged or the owner is aware of.
I hope the buyer had a proper PPI done.

The market is down a solid 20+% in the last six months. We are finally seeing the air deflate from the bubble we've endured the last two years. $45k is an extremely accurate buyer conscious asking price right now. That's actually a price that might generate interest and an actual sale. $60-65k range has come and gone. The only cars still fetching those prices are tier 1. A look at sales for the past 6 months shows a buyer range of $35-50k for a 964 and $40-55k for a 993 (these figures are for basic C2/C4 cars and obviously excludes S trim models, turbos, etc.).

Thank you Vandit. Couldn't have said it any better myself. That car is so definitely not underpriced by $10-15k unless of course you want to list it with all of the other dreamers trying to sell run of the mill drivers as concours collectibles.

I know of a number of cars that the owners were asking top dollar for. The buyers picked them up in the mid $40's after months of sitting for sale asking upper $50's. We are now in the process of dismantling them and fixing them up. by the time the car is in respectable condition the owners will have much more than $60k into them.
I wouldn't be so convinced the market is tanking or will ever go back to where it was back in 2007.
