OK, so I've just looked at the Singer thread (how wish my numbers would come in.....), and they stick with the gutters
Leaning more and more towards they stay.....

the whole shape of the 964 is a smoothed out version of the classic 911 shape
so for me gutters have to go but with a flush rear window and 993 rear quarter light window rubbers for that super smooth look

I like the no rain gutters idea if balanced against other mods. I don't think it will cause you a big problem not having them. My daily is a mk1 TT and they have a very curved roof and no rain gutters. As someone else said, you don't tend to drive around with the window open in the rain, but I did get soaked once pulling out my drive, wound the window down to see better and as I stopped at the end of the drive all the sitting water on the roof came in! Remember thinking 'that's not an issue in the 911!'.

Bit of an update
The shell is now back with Tom
Apparently sprayed with rust......
Showing the repairs that need to be done before the rear 3/4s go on
RS replica seatcovers being put on
Decision made on the gutters, they stay. Good enough for Singer, good enough for me
Closely following Streetdaddy's **** (not something I thought I'd say out loud!!), Corian one from Elihu the most likely route, with Tom looking at something clever as the mount at the base
And some other stuff which I'll keep under my hat for the moment

Three Wheelin'
Tom will later have the fun task of ensuring all the blasting medium is gone before spraying It's like a smashed car window... you'll be forever finding tiny bits of it.
Looks good tho, far better even. I was expecting it back in several large plastic bags You're at the turning point now where each hour spent sees the car a step foward in coming together rather than coming apart.
