Default Changing interior color

Hi,
I just bought me a 964 (again after 5 years without)
The only problem is that the interior color is Magenta (purple) full leather
Is it possible to respray the leather to black ?
I mean a permanent change, not that in a few years (or months) the purple comes back :-(
Anyone done this ???
Thanks a lot
Eric

Not something I'd do personally, I'd either live with the purple or if it gives you a migraine then replace the seats from a donor car or get them recovered.

Any pics so we can hopefully convince you to keep as standard? (Or worst case advise the best way to modify)

The car did not sell because of the color so I got it cheap ...
Anyway cheap enough to reshape the interior black

Bought from private person who had the car for 15 years
Perhaps he is color blind ;-)

Leather is easy enough to change colour.. Lots of threads on here for people that have done it via a DIY dye kit.

Are you sure you have ful leather? Couldn't see the stitching on the dash? How about the door bins, handles etc.

You could try to "tone down" some elements of the interior, by fitting black overmats, black steering wheel, even swapping out the handbrake or centre console for black. I did this with my linen interior

Have you thought about a respray and changing the exterior colour to Midnight Blue?!

As suggested, try to change the easier items of the cars interior first - overmats, etc. You could also change the door cards/bins to black to try and tone it down a bit?

I think that particular on a black body would be a gorgeous combo...keep it as original or sell it to someone who will enjoy it. It would be a shame to change something which could be rare and perfect to someone else.
