Having more options is not necessarily an improvement if it is tough to find the right setting.
Bump should indeed be adapted to unsprung weight, but then again why do so many manufacturers get it 'wrong'?

Take for instance the 964RS valving. Nice on billiard smooth tracks, on bumpy roads / tracks bump is too high leading to loss of grip during braking and cornering (due to bouncing).

Hmm this example in itself shows bump is a compromise, bring on adjustability! Single adjustment for bump and rebound imo is nice-ish but flawed.

Sure 3 or 4 way adjustability also allows you to mess things up big time, but setting it up the right way isn't that complicated. Work methodically and just take it one thing and one step at a time.

The basis for this is however that you get your spring rates / wheel frequencies correctly balanced to begin with. As a general rule I like about 1.75 Hz in the front and 1.8Hz in the rear on a road/track car.

Anyway...enough of this geek speak. 600HP on the TiALS.....woohooo!!!! :-)

Congrats, this project just gets better and better!

Thats all true for regular dampers but we're talking Intrax with ARC (Anti Roll Control) and softer springs, plenty of grip.

Thanks guys. This is all really exciting. I am really happy the engine is strengthened so much when I had the engine redone. Now I am comfortable about adding some more power with the E85 conversion.
There will be a switch installed for low/high E85 boost. So I can drive low E85 boost on the track or high boost for a short straight run.

I have enjoyed reading through this build and following your progress. Bravo. I loved the videos most of all. If you see the Space Station, wave.

Thanks, I'll be adding lots of videos soon. I recently got the GoPro thing figured out and season is almost getting started. Missing out on Spa in March but lots of other opportunities coming up and I love to mangle my car around the track.

This is the result on 98 fuel, 602hp/745Nm!
Looking very nice. Fuel pump turned out to be a little bit too small for the E85, we'll sort out that problem next week. First I'm going to enjoy my car for a couple of days until the new fuel pump arrives.
Tomorrow to Intrax for alignment and suspension tweaks.

It's the torque that scares me....how do you even keep it on the ground? Can't wait to see the vids

Crazy figures
When I see you on a Driving Fun Trackday or somewhere else, could you please give me a lift?

Feels stronger. Well it is stronger...
But it feels great. It's wet outside so I have to switch on the esp in my right foot. It is quite something to drive this car with semi slicks in the rain, like walking on ice.
Shifting nice and tight, love the new engine mounts.

1424Kg on the scale. That's including a full 92L fuel tank and 80Kg of weight on the passenger seat.

With the turbos, extra oil cooler and water cooled intercooler not a bad score.

It's surprisingly low considering the hardware you have in there
Must be amazing to drive

Thats true. I do have some heavy items in there. If I would really go lightweight I could perhaps loose another 80-100Kg at the cost of luxury.

But it is already an amazing ride. Took me a couple of hours to get used to it again, there is just so much power available.
