Default me and my 964: an intro

figured id wait until i actually had the car in my possession to post.

shes here! after 8 months or so of looking ( which doesnt even seem that long compared to some of you other guys) i have my lovely 90 911 c2 that i found at vertex automotive in miami. great guys to deal with.

this is my first porsche but we've had several in the family over the years. the air cooled ones were always my favorite. ive owned a few lotus, a noble, a rs4, a 450whp evo, a bunch of jeeps and most recently an abarth, but i already feel like ive finally found a car i want to keep for years.
anyway, here it is, along with its air cooled stable mate, my 1975 triumph. a little ebony and ivory action.

the todo list is long.

already ordered:
rs carpet kit
rs door cars
recaro pole positions in black leather/suede
porsche designs momo wheel/hub

need:
remove the stripe
paint correction
new wheels/ summer tires
snow tires ( yup shes a daily driver here in boston)
suspension
headlight upgrade ( lot of night driving)

and im sure there will be a ton more to follow. looking forward to being a contributing member around here

Welcome. Nice to see another local.
With snow in the forecast tonight/tomorrow, you'd best get those winter tires quick!

Don't be so quick for new wheels. Cup I's are very desirable and give it an RS look.

^^ agreed (although biased) at the very least make sure you keep the cup 1's for future use even if you do fancy another set

wow you guys are quick

cup1s are staying. will be winter wheels haha. had no idea snow was in the forecast for tomorrow... damn i better get a move on. as for new wheels, i really want to do an 80s motorsports look. i had mentioned in another thread that i loved the compomotive th wheels, but they dont come in proper sizes. im trying to find something along those lines. i know hre 935, but i dont think thats exactly what i want. any insight would be great.

i really want to ditch the spoiler. i came across dzug renngrille, i am waiting for a reply from them to see if it fits a 964, and about their hid setup. anyone have any experience with either?

thanks for the compliments on the scoot. that was a year long project with a shop called choppahead. bike has recieved a lot of great press. was in three mags, including one in england. featured on like 10 websites, and triumph recently shot it at the barber vintage motorsports festival.

Haha i daily'd a lotus exige a few years back through a boston winter. It's not that terrible.

I'll try to get a good shot as soon as I can. Is this spoiler an odd option?

Hey thanks. The funny thing is it was a test to see if I could actually take on a project of that scale withy horrific schedule ( I run restaurants) A precursor to what I have in mind work wise for this car ultimately.
