Default Bleeding clutch

I am doing my brakes and want to find a good DIY thread on bleeding the clutch?
I have a Motive pressure bleeder and ATE fluid ready to go!
Thanks

http://p-car.com/diy/slave/index.html

Clamp the overflow hose on the reservoir and top of the reservoir to the very tippy top (clutch pickup is high and it is really easy to catch air if the fluid level drops).

You're going to need a 7mm spanner for the bleed nipple on the slave.

Thanks Vandit! Do you fill the reservoir and the power bleeder? From what I have read you do the clutch after the brakes?
I was also curious with the "wet" and "dry" methods?
Thanks
Kris

The wet method has one put his fluid into the Motiv tank and pressure up to allow the fluid to transfer directly into the resevoir.

The dry method simply uses the Motiv tank to apply pressure to the tank (no fluid is put into the Motiv). One must be careful with this method not to allow the level of the fluid to drop too low. As it drops, the cap is removed and more fluid added.

I prefer wet. Two pints in the tank for a good strong bleed, three for a full on flush. Simply clean up the bleeder with methanol or isopropyl afterwards.

If I'm flushing the system, I do the clutch first, then rotate from the furthest spot from the resevoir (rt rear caliper).

Thank KaiB. That is what I was thinking the difference was.
I went to use my brand new Motive and it will not build pressure? I got the one with the aluminum cap. Put the two hoses together with some teflon tape as well? Can figure where it is loosing the pressure?? I did this dry first as direction say. Any ideas?

Did you remember to pinch off the brake fluid reservoir vent hose? You can't build pressure until you do. I use a surgical clamp but anything should work.

You might want to make sure that the rubber gasket on the cap is in place.

Hi Guys,
KaiB you hit it on the head. I was pumping and pumping and then I remembered on of the threads saying to pinch the relief tube so as to not get fluid to over flow. That was the problem! Bleed everything but when I went to take the car off the jacks I had a massive puddle of BF behind the front wheel. Not sure why it developed after I was all done as it was not there when I bled the FL wheel? Anyway I may consider dry pressure bleeding next go?
On that note how does one clean inside the fender or does the hose go all the way to the bottom of the fender?
TIA

A good flush with water will take care of the brake fluid.

Rinse everywhere and rinse well.

Yes, the reservoir vent goes all the way to the bottom of the fender well.
