Default Oil console leak - need part #

I'm looking for the part number for the washer/seal that's used on the oil line that connects from the oil console to the tank. The oil console is behind the oil filter in the right rear wheel well. This is the line that runs horizontally from the front of the oil console forward across the top of the wheel well to the oil tank.

The joint at the oil console is leaking and I expect that it needs a new washer. Anyone know the part number? When I look on pelican it comes up as "Rubber Seal Ring for Chain Cover" which feels a bit suspicious.

The oil line is #46 964.207.254.07

I tried tightening the fitting with the oil wrenches (maybe 36 and 32mm), but the leak only got worse! Maybe it is a rubber seal, but that one looks kinda small for this line.

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave, not sure about the part number, but the washer is actually aluminium. Regards, Les.

I think that is a compression fit without any seals besides the the faces of the hose and the console (bracket #47).

Steve is right, that is a compression fitting, no seal needed.

Thanks guys.

So, interestingly, it was leaking just a bit and I tightented the fitting and now it's really leaking.

I'm going to pull it apart to see what I can see.

There's a double sided fitting there, so maybe you snugged up the union between the fitting and the hose end but loosened it between the console and the fitting.

You must hold the first fitting with a wrench while you tightened the hose to it.

Got it.

Both the hose fitting and the vent bolt were loose. That's what I get for letting others wrench my car.

Dry again. Now just waiting for the oil to burn off the muffler! :-)

Thanks for all of the input.
