While looking for the white car, I found this...

A 964 "highwater" backdate. Good looking from a distance, but you can see how difficult it is to get the front "right" and the exhaust "tucked" in the back.

Sold on Pelican in 2011
Time for a new project. What should this backdated 1990 964 sell for?
80k Miles (+/-5K since a top-end rebuild)
LSD Trans
Bilstein PSS9
Fenders and bumpers FG, hood is steel
GTS Sport seat
Zuffenhaus "Fuchs"

Great interior! I'm loving these backdated 964's.

Like it, but don't love the interior. That plaid is awful. Would have went Tartan.

Technically, if you are referring to the pattern shown it is "tartan". I love it and I am actually thinking of doing something similar.

Hi,

The front wings look all out of proportion, the wheel size possibly doesn't help either.

Cheers,
Paul

That poor red backdate.

Just think how nice it must have been as a perfectly fine un-modified 964.

Oh, well ....

Backdate needs to be updated back to a 964.

+1!

To add to the knowledge base. How to take care of those door sil dimples:

from Ninemeister Facebook:
Only factory sills fit correctly, but factory sills are now only available with dimples and holes for the 964 sill cover clips. We fit the 964 sills, weld up the holes and fill the dimples with aluminium epoxy filler. You can cut out the dimples and plate them up, but we find that the resulting distortion of the panel is unacceptable. — at Ninemeister Porsche.

yep, red one just doesn't look right. Not really one particular thing, but just all combined doesn't work IMO. Also, where is his side mirrors? Can't be legal?

On a side note, it becomes increasingly obvious to me how one mod that looks great on one car, looks like crap on another purely because of the color. In particular as Red is such a strong primary color, careful thought is required !!

Spotted, what a build, someone is spending a lot of money

I could add it all up the old HVAC with all the ducting, heat exchangers, HVAC unit etc must be around 15kg

Guess the Motec has a few spare channels and is monitoring cabin temp. to control the power of what ever heating source they are using

Nick the owner reckons about 20kg all told. Car will be finished very soon.
