That looks fairly similar in concept to the pair I made. I basically bought some stainless perforated tube for literally a few quid then turned a couple of flanges and welded them onto the tube. On the tailpipes I've just added a couple of bosses with a tapped hole to retain the inserts.

The thinking was to be able to adjust the db level down further if need be by adding some fibreglass round the outside and if necessary some brillo pad in the bore hence the crossed pieces of welding wire.

Idea was taken from a mix of the two products below:

-You (BU);

-me, who have shown any interest in a group buy.....
-?

Hi Steve,

Is the evening session at donnington likely to be quiet like the one we did recently?

I would be surprised if Donington runs any more trackdays at higher than 98db for quite a while. Bookatrack state this is a 98db drive-by (100db static) so yes, a quiet day

I meant is it going to be nice and safe(ish) with few cars on track

enjoyed the last track day mainly because there were not 500 cars all turning in for the same corner.

Hi Phil, they're usually very similar to the day you came on i.e. lots of track space. Judge for yourself from this video of mine from the last evening session we did:

BTW the video is from the GP circuit but we'll be on the national circuit on the next one.

Soz, obsessed with noise

As Boxsey says, it gets quieter as the evening session goes on.....last 40 mins I think last time was just Boxsey and Co going round and round!
