Do you know if I need to change the shift fork as well for this to work?

I don't believe so, just the lever itself

Decided to go the FD motorsports route.

And look what I found on my doorstep yesterday.


Can't wait to install this. Going to replace the bushings and get a new boot for the linkage while I'm at it.

Nice. Make an install thread pls so we can see how it works out on a C4. I'd like to know if a stick shift lever (993 RS lever in my car) can be used and what needs to happen in the tunnel to make it fit properly...

And then I wanna hear some feedback on how different it feels!

I think the unmodified RS lever it would be something like this:



With FD kit (according to their instructions) you only have to put a small indentation on the tunnel cover with a hammer. Think it's 3/8". Their lever is modified to be shorter where it attaches to the rod. You can also adjust the forward and back position of the lever with the rod you see in the pic.
