Didn't notice this when I switched to 17" MM wheels with summer tires back in the Spring. Is the consensus to use a 5mm spacer up front?

My car has the same rubbing w/ that size tire and 7" Cup II wheels. Do you know if the steering spacers have been changed? That's what I need to do to mine. Anyone have a part # and how-to?

I'm running 205's on the front without any rubbing. Does your steering rack have the 10mm spacers (turbo) or the original 6mm? When you install 17" wheels, you are supposed to install the 10mm spacers.

PET calls the spacers "steer angle limitation"

Steering rack spacers... right.

I'm still on the originals. How much worse does this make the turning radius? It's like turning a cement truck at full lock already.

How much worse? Its hard to say but it certainly doesn't help. But the good side is that the wheels don't rub the fender wells.

Edit: The turning radius is wider but very livable.

Not too much different - I did mine a few months back - and I noticed that I almost hit some poles in the garage that I would normally have cleared easily prior - but it only took a week to get used to...

And I didn't actually hit anything...lol...

If your car is 1991 or older and you want to use 225 wide tires you'll have to add a steering stop on each side, I believe it's 10mm. Also you also need to trim the corner where the bumper meets the fender, because it can cut the tire. There's a TSB on that that I have somewhere if I find it I'll post it here.
