A lot of good information here; I just went out to the garage and checked out my engine mounts, so would you say I am in need of new ones. The pictures below shows the left and the right.

I highly recommend the 993 mounts. I know there are RS and Wevo mounts, but depending on what you do with the car, track or street. It may or maybe not worth the extra money for them. Nice part is they are a fairly easy intall and make a difference in shifting.

I will post when I get the new ones installed. The car has felt different to drive for the last 2K miles or so, I thought it was the alignment, maybe it was just the engine mounts ?

After reading this thread in the morning, I looked at my engine mounts and they look like crg53's. I have noticed a lot of engine rocking at idle.

Nice ride 9six4.

Mine too. I was just finishing dropping the engine this evening, and sure enough... mine are shot too. Gee, we need a group buy!

What about these? http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...item51879be556

If they are used mounts you can get them sub $100. I actually bought mine used from a Rennlister for cheap, they had 35k and plenty of life left.

tgage,

I got a set of those off ebay. Seem to work very well. The bolt that comes out of the mount is quite a bit longer. However I have not had any problems. The heavy vibration at idle is gone now that I switched to them.

Guessing that price is per, yes?

Price on a pair of 993 mounts on Ebay from one seller is between $160-180...me thinks aftermarket? Thumbs-up...thumbs-down? I see one thumbs up...but they are claimed to be OEM...did they have a part # in the casting?

After seeing this thread, checked the mounts, and they feel/look like those photoed above. Something else that needs to be put on a check-list for work...

And...what yellowducman asked about differences between the mounts. Pelican seems to only offer the C4 mounts (and the 'may fit' section includes the Turbo and Cabrio). Any real difference?
