Exhaust Probs
My car has been making a "tinny" noise when warm. It got slightly embarrasing so I took it in this morning only to be told she's blowing a bit. Mechanic reckons something has corroded inside the exhaust that's making the noise.
Nothing detrimental that needs fixing right away, but none the less needs fixing.
Any recommendations for a sports exhaust upgrade?? (No heat exchangers required)
Its a 1991 964 C4
Nothing expensive, the car is for sale after all. But if I can get something good for a decent price then all the better.
Cheers,
Kieran.

Tinny sound: Is there any chance it is one of the heat shields? That can be tacked back together with a weld or two...
I replaced #8 ^^^ with a cup pipe. I love the sound, and it is a lot lighter than the stock muffler.
There are lots of stock exhaust bits available on ebay etc. Don't buy new.

i know its not a heat shield as I only have 1 left on (the others came off earlier in the year and are currently in my cellar) and the mechanic checked that and said it was on nice and tight.
From the image above, I think i'm after replacing the final muffler (number 9)

i don't care too much about my neighbours, we might be moving anyway
is the noise without both still legal (in the UK)?
it looks like for £400 i could get both done, or do i just do the g-pipe for now half the price as thats where the problem currently is
