Default Where to buy a RS Heater duct for 964/993

I need to buy a RS heater duct for my 3.6L transplant. Instant-G is out and his supplies may be out of business. Any info would be appreciated.

I have a carbon fiber one that I decided is too much bling for a race car...

if you mean the bypass pipe and not the full delete you can order if from your dealer, it's a 993 partnumber 993.211.941.00.

Thomas C2, how is the 993 Porsche piece different from Fabspeed piece? It seems everyone with the Fabspeed pipe are having problems retaining heat.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi. the part Fabspeed calls RS CF heater duct is a more expensive copy of the Porsche part (as the ad says). This pipe replaces the the rear blower, but it still directs the air from the engine fan down into the heating system.

The kit they call Carrera Cup heat block off, deletes the pipe above so no hot air from the engine can be used for heating.

So with the pipe, still heating (but not as good as with the blower). with the delete kit, no heating, but a tad lighter.

So pick your choice! (I have the bypass pipe but from Porsche, cost 160€)

Thomas, thanks for the explanation. Been doing a lot of work on the car lately and the blower motor always seem to be in the way. I'd like to cleanup the engine compartment and get rid of the motor but I enjoy heat.

Thanks for all the replies. The factory Porsche part is flat black plastic. The Fabspeed unit is carbon fiber. I believe that is the only difference.

If a bypass pipe is installed, is it necessary to jump out any of the wires for the blower motor? What about that hot resistor that is stuck into the original pipe?

Thanks
