Default What carpet set is this?

Is this possibly an RS carpet set? There are a few pieces in here that I can not reconcile with my 1991 C2 Targa. I destroyed a couple of pieces when I pulled the carpet out, so I am not 100% sure.

Thanks for the help?

Probably not as the RS carpet set has a piece to cover the area under the rear window while that set does not appear to have that piece.

So what car do these pieces belong to? I am pretty sure they are not part of a 964 set - at least not in my car. I just don't want to start gluing until I have all the pieces in place and I am still trying to sort this out with World Upholstery.

That looks like the light weight set.

The rear center goes over the tunnel, the two other rear go from the floor under where the rear seat cusion around the inside wheel house. This would be set for the rear seats removed.

Not sure the two center wing peices, but that is right around the seat belt mounting.

Having just installed a complete lightweight set from AppBiz here is what I think...

A - centre console
B - footwells
C - pedal board
D - door pockets
E - rocker panel below doors
F - driver's floor mat
G - centre console around shifter
H - passenger floor mat
I - driver's side rear mat
J - passenger's side rear mat
K - rear hump between seats
L - side wheelwells next to rear seats
M - seat bottoms
N - no idea but Makmov might be right. I had pieces similar to this but did not need them (even with rear seats removed).
O - no idea
P - no idea and I do not think Makmov is right here as the notches in K and Q meet up to surround the centre rear seat belt mounting points.
Q - back of rear seats
R - no idea

I still don't think this is an RS set as you don't have the pieces to cover over the area below the rear windows once you remove the molded side pieces and you don't have the piece to cover the shelf below the rear window.

I ended up with several extra pieces from my AppBiz kit that I had no idea where to use but everything is covered so maybe it is spare for errors?

Hope this help.

Marc

Nice contribution Marc. That's a keeper that needs to not get lost under this title. Did you document your install?

I took lots of photos but did not post them yet.

Yes! That makes sense. I have RS door panels so no pockets.

I added that to my post above.

So what is a good source for a carpet set? I have tried Pelican Parts and World Upholstery. Both have gone back to the vendor.
Pelican Parts' set was missing some inserts and reinforcement on the driver side pieces. It also appeared incomplete. The World Upholstery set is incomplete and some pieces are inaccurately cut. To their credit, both vendors were extremely professional and flexible.
So where should I buy? Any recommendations?

I'd give Bob at Appbiz a call regarding your needs. He'll readily admit that his website is poor but is very happy to talk you through the options available.

I called him on Wednesday with a couple of questions and received a packet of sample swatches yesterday. Thanks Bob!

Also, thanks to the original poster for starting this thread and to Marc for his useful input regarding identifying pieces of the carpet jigsaw.
