The RSR engine M64/04 in the 964 came with a serpintine belt setup. This is basically what my car is.

[sudden surge of belt envy]

Also, things different in the RSR than the street 3.6 engine: "dual ignition"

Hey! -- buddy. I may not be many things, but trust me, I spent many hours finagling my new 12 spark plug wires around my engine bay.
Sheesh!
And to think I had faith in mainstream media...

Gorgeous car! But there was a sharp pain in my body after reading "$1400 per wheel".

Porsche Club Great Britain member Ben Saville owns one of these. It's GP white, was sourced from Japan, is in mint condition, I believe has never been raced and is ROAD LEGAL!

It's an incredible car and sounds absolutely wonderful.

Wasn't able to gather undercar pics with a quick search (Wanted to see pipe routes and stock cladding, if any).
-- But these will do:

Where's the intake filter?

For those air vent-delete questions:

Stock plug wires split off to run between the intakes (not like these)

bracing via factory

It's a mystery.
Ah! -- Weight savings! (nah. I don't know.)

But my *own* pet peeve hole in the cooling hood is showing up plain as day, there, just inboard of intake runner #5. (You can even see the cylinder fins, beneath.)
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT HOLE FOR?! lol

Factory motto: "When in doubt, put a hole in it."

Anyone know why the oil cap is secured with a screw-clamp?

There was no air cleaner on the RSR engine in unrestricted format. The air enters from the center of the rear crossover tube in the aluminum manifold.
