I dont know, but iam thinking ov a seat upgrade. I want Porsche seats like them or the sport option ones from a 993, has anyone fitted any newer style porsche seats to a 964?

America - why sell the roadster? I thought you were going with some 997TT rims?

NinetyOneC2, The car is for sale, but if it doen't sell this year I will keep it. I was only selling the car due to my son. Now that he's 5 we can cruize together and go to car shows. If I get new wheels and seats I will keep the car. I sold my speedster seats and aftermarket wheels(regretting it) to sell the car, but I just can't help myself in upgrading the car. I need to fiddle with my cars. I bought a 66 Fastback to replace the Porsche, but I just sold my 66 Fastback, just not enough time to work on it...so the P-car is going to be my weekend car.

Topic Revisit - Has anyone tried Cayman seats in a 964?
I need additional helmet clearance for autox/DE days. I'm 6'-2" and need to increase headroom 1-1/2" to 2" over the original supple leather comfort seats in my 964. These Cayman seats look low-profile where the seat back and bottom meet, any chance they'd fit and produce the additional clearance?
I drive the 964 mostly on the street and would consider aftermarket sport seats, but not race seats with harnesses. Any combination of seat & mount produce the additional 1-1/2 to 2" headroom, short of bypassing the existing sliders & mounting points and bolting directly to the floor?

Right up till that last line I would've recommended most any aftermarket sport seat.
I retrofitted something like this to mine and gained all Sorts of head room.
But it came with Recaro's manual sliders.
For years, I, like you, found the stock seats decidedly helmet-Un-friendly.
