You don't notice your CR-V leaking and burning oil after an oil change as the dealer did not put the filler cap back on because the smell seems comforting somehow.

You know when your a 964 owner when
1) you justify to yourself that £200+ spent on Zymol cleaning products is really an investment.
2) getting your AC re-gassed becomes an annual event and you become mates with the bloke that does it.
3) you drive hundreds of miles to meet up with other 964 owners just bore each other senseless - you also need to know other 964 owners in at least 4 other continents.
4) you remove the wife from your car insurance without telling her .
5) you spend huge amounts on money on things that are not broken or that will add a couple of BHP.
6) you create your own slush fund for "the re-build" and other stuff - again without the wifes knowledge.
7) your 4 year old son tell his friend his daddy has a 911 "Porscha" and you get that warm glow of unconditional love.
8) you start using the tacho more than the speedo
9) you red lining it 4th - but only once the temp is at normal, but without fear that something will fall off.
10) you turn the radio off as it iinterferes with the noise of the engine - and think about removing it in order to save weight.
Finally - although your's is a fantastic car and you love it to bits your really want a 933GT2 or a RS
Oh, I should also add, you must also spend at least 2 hours a day on Rennlist

Its a small peugeot. Got in it to move it closer to the house(parking is a problem) and turned the key in the ignition several times.
Hmm why wont it start imobiliser? nahh ive turned that off.
What was the problem? Ive been turning on and off the passinger air bag for the last few minutes teh switch for it it is in exactly teh right place for a 964 ignition and you use the ignition key to do it

you corner with your foot hard on the gas, no matter what it is you are driving.

You know you're a 911 owner when:
You close the front trunk by letting it down slowly to the bottom, then pushing on the middle of the lid (or on each side) to get it to click shut (versus a "normal" car where you just pull/push the lid down in one motion)

When you turn to look at it everytime you walk away from it after parking it. My wife pointed this out to me one day.
