Default Anyone out there running 9.5 x 17 Cup 1s?

All,
Would appreciate some guidance on Cup1 wheel sizing.

I would prefer 9" Cup 1s on the rear (re: my earlier post today) but have the chance of a pair of 9.5" x 17 OE Cup 1s.

I also have a pair of 7" and a pair of 8" OE Cups, what would be the optimal wheel combo for a standard 964 C2 std shocks for mixed track/road use.

I would initially like to use the 7s on the front as my current tyres are 205/50 and 255/40 Michelin Pilot Cups would this be OK?

Thanks,
Kevin.

I have 9.5" Cup 1's on the rear of my 92 964 Euro Cup (OE wheels); and 8" Cup 1's (again, OE) in the front.

The fenders are rolled and I do run an OEM spacer (it's a 944 P/N IIRC....I have the paperwork at home) in the rear.

Itc,
Thanks for the input, very interesting.

I have been offered a pair of racing wheels 9.5 x 17 part number 965.362.128.05 et68, what I would like to really know is the part number of your front wheels so I can compare it with the part number of my 8 x 17s to see whether I would have a true matched set or whether I would be mixing "racing Cups" with "standard Cups" - I have been told that the "racing Cups" are a slightly different material spec.

Is it possible for you to provide the part number of your front wheels?

Thanks in advance,
Kevin.

Kevin,
Here is what I have/know.

According to Adrian (Wheels and tyres for the 964 series):
Front: 965 362 126 00 or 965 362 126 01 8Jx17 ET52
(note: these 8" are the same as the rears off of an RSAmerica)
Rear: 965 362 128 05 9.5Jx17 ET68

From John C at www.cupcar.net
http://www.cupcar.net/techlib/conten...ts_list_04.jpg
Front: 965 362 126 01 8Jx17
Rear: 965 362 128 05 9.5Jx17

Currently on my 92 964 Euro Cup car I have:
8.0Jx17 ET52, 965.362.126.00, front
and
9.5Jx17 ET68, 965.362.128.05, (with 21mm Porsche wheel spacers, 477.501.701 in the rear).
For tires, I am currently running 245 40 R17 front and 275 40 R17 rear

The only 'Racing Cups' I ever heard of were the 18" Speedlines used later on
http://www.cupcar.net/92cup.asp
and the Magnesium Cup 1's used on the RS street variants (which are marked 'Magnesium' on the rim).

If they are, then I'm buying.
The 9.5's are NOT easy to find....I had to search for a year just to find a pair
