Question Driver side front oil leak?

What is there that could leak oil close to the front wheel? I know the oil cooler is on the left side..

Doesn't smell like brake fluid, but I'm not sure 100%. Anything else?

Hydraulic shocks maybe? Please don't tell me I'll have to get bilsteins HD's and lower my suspension??? Noooo

Check the colour, if it is redish colour then it will be power steering fluid. You should know brake fluid is clearer than you oil...

Also check under the car to see where it's leaking from. If it's in front of the wheel well, etc. It's easier to diagnose that way.

Just behind the front wheel arch is the breather for the brake fluid res. If you topped up the brake fluid or bled the brakes this might be the problem.

the steering racks are crap and leaking seals arent all that uncommon. Look around the boot on the steering rack at the ends and see if its wet. The under tray makes it hard to see but if it is the tray up front will be wet.

If it's a C4 then oil from the front diff can run across the undertray and appear behind the wheel arch.
