These boards contain numerous interesting threads relative to different exhaust systems; particularly about the "hot" set up of the moment. While I will not debate the gains quoted by some systems (other than to say [a] compared to what {e.g., a specific brand of air filter might get one 10 hp compared to another filter sealed in hundreds of thousands miles of dirt and sludge but less than a fraction of a hp compared to a another clean filter) and [b] that, at most, real tests yield but a few (very few) horsepower gain from one good exhaust system to another [some systems actually produce a loss in hp and/or torque]), it is clear that weight reduction in a Porsche (particularly weight in the rear) yields benefits. This having been said, you might be interested in the attached pictures of a stock 964 heater box system (although looking old, the original pictured unit is virtually new) and a massaged system that saves 13 pounds (43 %) from the stock units -- and given the replacement of certain parts with 321 steel, the new pieces are even longer lasting.

No torture -- when the titanium and carbon fiber version comes into reality at the end of the summer, that will be interesting.

Hey, I saved almost 50lbs (well 22kgs) by getting rid of the original exhaust and fitting a new stainless steel item. Gained some power too.
