Default 18" Gemballa Le Mans - will they fit?

Hi!
I recently bought a set of 18" Gemballa Le Mans wheels for my '89 Turbo (8"/10", ET47 front + ET52 rear, M030 bone stock suspension). Before I invest in a new set of tires I wanted to check with you if I should expect any fitment issues? I tried them on without tires and they seem to be OK - they don't rub anywhere, but after putting some rubber on them it can be a different story altogether. I definitely don't want to roll the fenders. What's your take on that?

See my profile pic. Fenders were rolled from the factory on my 90 model turbo, no fitment issues with 225 and 265 tyres. The front wheels have a tiny clearance on the brake calipers though.

Great, thanks blade7. Really lovely white Turbo by the way, what's the color of the interior? It would look great parked next to mine - black on black.

Just out of curiosity - what does it mean that the fenders were rolled from the factory? Is there a difference between the '89 MY and '90 MY then, or was it an option to have the fenders rolled? If mine were not rolled, do you think there might be an issue with fitting the Gemballas? I am planning to run the car on 255s in the back and 225s in the front. And last but not least - is there a huge difference in ride quality between 17" and 18" wheels on skinny tires?
Cheers!

Thanks. Interior is dark blue leather, looks almost black. I thought all the 250 bhp cars have rolled fenders, something for you to research. I don't doubt the wheels and tyres are heavier than the standard wheels but they were on the car when I bought it so I'm used to them. And I run KW coilovers. I think Duke ran 11" Gemballas on the rear of the Green Hunter.

They fit very nicely! A friend has them on his 951. Very cool wheels...

Nice wheels. They remind me of Ferrari 550's. In my opinion there are very few wheels that really make the 951 look. There are appeasing angles to the body, and not so much around the shape of the vehicle. That setup looks way better than factory.. except for mint Fuchs but factory is factory. Nice pick.

iirc, i'm running 18x10s on the rear of my 951 with 285s. if your offset will work (i forget mine at the moment), the issue now will be the profile of your tires. i'm running Continental ExtremeContact DW in 285/35 - they have a nice roundish sidewall profile that helps with overall clearance. your tire choice may make or break you on this. i ran RE-11s on my Carrera and they are super wide per width - all depends on the tire design.

Voith - funny Slovenian "rja" means "rdza" in Polish, I guess the pronunciation must be very similar.

Thanks for your advice. I will give those wheels a try, I am getting a set of Dunlop SP SportMaxx tires to go with them:

front: 225/40 R18
rear: 255/35 R18

With these tyre sizes the total wheel diameter is almost identical to stock 16" CS wheels, also the rear tire should stretch nicely giving the wheel a bit more clearance against the fender:
