The mechanic claims it was just running rich and after a good blast it now runs fine. I asked him about a leak down and he claimed he wouldn't bother as it's going good now. Hmmmmmm.
Just from my quick look the car needs new carpets all the way through. The front brakes are grinding. The clutch will need doing shortly. The TB was done years ago. The paint is very ordinary. The console has holes drilled through it. The central looking is inoperative, The hatch release doesn't work. The front seats need recovering. The interior roof panels are warped. The shocks are knackered and the speedo claims 111,000kms. Bullsh$t. Well over 200,000kms I bet. Holy cow, now I've written that I'm kinda glad I gave it a miss. At best a 15-17k car. That might be a stretch.

Aussie 944T Buyers, be careful on this one
Right hand drive 944 Turbos with history now sell for $40k plus in Australia - highly sought after and very few for sale.
This example has done 272,000 km and was a personal import to Australia in 1996 so it was only in the UK for its first 9 years - no corrosion issues. Substantial history file since new included in the sale, including evidence of full engine rebuild 56,000k ago and timing/balance belts and all front engine seals replaced November 2014, together with a new air conditioner compressor.
Professional independent workshop compression and leak down test performed/documented a week ago.
Compression PSI - 1/138, 2/140, 3/140, 4/140.
Leak Down Test % - 1/10%, 2/11%, 3/10%, 4/8%.
Yes it requires some paint re-work but not major.
Yes it requires drivers seat leather repair and a new carpet set.
Yes the suspension is soft and requires attention.
Yes the sunroof open/close function is not working
Yes the rear hatch switch faulty.
I purchased the car - happy for the Adelaide chap who looked to buy it February to make contact.

Not sure how far you know? I have black Enkei nt03s on it 8.5"F and 10"R
KW v3 coilovers.
Bad news though. The belt tensioner pulley cracked and split. Causing piston and valve contact. Pretty pissed about it as it was the week i had planed to give it a full service. Belts, rollers ect.
So it's currently it's on the hoist, engine out & ready to be pulled apart. Will be upgrading pistons and rods. Pistons will be custom made with valve reliefs.
We've rebuild the torque tube. a "semi solid" shift setup. replaced all the rubber with plastic and repaired all the worn parts, new custom shifter and aluminium **** that looks like the factory one.
It drove really well when it was all sorted out. Very quick for what it was, although i limited it to 18psi. now once this is all done, With the worked head and larger turbo combo, i will see what i does at 20-24psi. But 18 was enough. i usually drive it on wastegate spring pressure ~10psi which feels faster than the factory turbo at 15psi with out the huge kick.
How's the yellow one going? anything new done to it?
