Default 944 Turbo Engine Harness: Who wants a NEW ONE?

Ok folks, these harnesses are quickly becoming dangerous with brittle wires and insulation falling off. I personally think just adding new wires and plugs for the injectors, knock sensors etc isnt good enough.

How many of you out there would like to get group buy together with an reputable source to build a new harness with better wire and insulation and be a full replacement?

I have reviewed the schematics, wire types, colors etc and these are mostly the same from 1986 -1989... yes slight variations but that can be addressed at assembly.

If you're game, chime in... let see what the interest is.

I would be interested in one, or two, but not if the price is outrageous. I think you can get new ones from the dealer for 1,500 ish.... no thanks lol

Seriously.....you couldn't have come up with this a month ago!

Good luck...I'd say anything under $900 is a deal.

I agree that if it's not good quality it's worse than having an old stock harness....

my threshold is still somewhere under 1500

I thought I read very recently that there were still some available in the system, or some NOS ones somewhere, but I could have been mistaken and I didn't follow up.

for me, the wore colors would need to be correct, but i presonally wouldn't care if it would pass a concourse inspection.

....interested
I have a harness from an 89 that had 65k on it that was totaled in 94, been hanging in the garage ever since. As close new as probably you could find. Still fully flexible. I heard YEARS ago that there was 1 harness left in the Black Forest with a $3500 tag on it.

I am interested. Would like color to be correct if possible, and of course as good or better than factory as far as quality.

Jase.
